I wanted to capture these beautiful flowers in a dark, mysterious mood; to achive it I underexpose on purpose. Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions.

    Lady Mirenchu,
You make me proud...:) This is absolutely beautiful...I love the way in which you painted your mystery lady, in all her splendor and glory...I like the play between the dark and light areas of the petals, blending both in perfect harmony and symmetrical on all sides with a delicate transition into the abyss of the dark background. The color rendition is spot on and is enhanced by a subtle glow and radiance. This is one sweet image...looking forward to more...

Hi Mirenchu, This is a midnight beauty all right!! I love the lighting, the placement of the flowers with the dark BG, and all the varied tonalities you have captured. I cannot imagine it being any better - it's beautiful!! Nice work!!

I like the color contrast (red vs black) and the underexposure (low key) effect is well done. I wish the flower in upper LHC had a touch more light. Its all about feel anyway - nice picture.

Hi Mirenchu...i think you captured mood beautifully. How did you light these? I do agree with jeff that just a bit more light on the upper flower would have been even better. very Nice work!
