I made this image through a small opening in the brush during my morning walk. The bird was shaded and the light was particularly soft. The image reminds me of an Asian scene. Using PS, I cloned out a branch covering part of the bird's breast and leg. Comments/crits welcomed.

Nice pose and grassy habitat. Good job on the cloning too. The image has a significant colour cast though...

I like the head angle, sharpness, BG and particularly the grass, I only find the blade covering part of the tail distracting. I'm not sure if there is a color cast.

    Very nice Roger.

Good size, shape and head position. I like the BKGR and agree with Axel about the distracting blade over the tail.

Good comments, all. After painstakingly removing the branch, I didn't have the energy to deal with the OOF tail. But, spurred on by your comments, I've reposted what I hope you will find an improved version.

Great looking bird Roger, loved the pose the details, HA looks great, I just removed the little OOFtwig in front and added some branch at the bottom , also pushed the level at bit up. I am not sure too if this looks better. since I had done it I put it up.

    hope you dont mind.

Don't mind at all, Kiran. Thanks for making the improvement and for the comments.
