I like the egret, and the surrounding vegetation. Had you been able to get a bit more to your left this would have cleared the bill from the leaves. I wouldn't mind a bit more room below as the foot is a bit close to the edge.

I like the soft light, eye contact and setting. I agree with Daniel regarding the leaves behind the bill and might crop a tad off the right.

Would you be able to clone a bit of the leaves around the bird's beak? I think you did a good job with your exposure. These plain Egrets look so handsome in their mating plumage.

I like this Connie. The egret pops so well from the lush foliage, and well exposed too. A tad off the right, and add to the bottom - what do you think?

Like the natural environment & leaves not a problem to me. Good pose & exposure. I'm with Daniel & Stuart on the composition though.

Thanks everyone, I think the suggestions are very good ones and since some would require a bit of time and effort on my part to accomplish, I won't report here but will attempt the changes nevertheless. Connie

Well done Connie the bird looks great you composed and captured the shot quite nicely. I also agree with Daniel about moving a little to the left to get the bill in the complete clear but anyways I like it.
