    Hi Akos,

    A very nice shot. I like the headturn, the light and the blue sky. I do believe that the shot is lacking in DOF a bit more would have been perfect. Apparent sharpness is on the breast instead of on the eye, it might help to selectively sharpen the eye a bit more.

    Cheers,

    Krijn

    Self portrait Akos?:eek::D
    Sorry only joking.
    Very nice detail, light and colour.
    Could do with a tad more DOF I think?
    I like the serious look in those eyes, must be thinking.

    Akos, great job with the sharpness. The bird looks very contemplative. Is this the same guy you posted a while back? Not the bird's fault but the white feathers are a bit distracting oof. And maybe lighten up the eye a bit?

    I like the head angle, eye contact and agree that stopping down more would have made it even better. I would also tone down the whites a bit more.

    Love the light and the stare. Agree with Krijn and Axel.

    Perfect comp and pose mate, and I find with closeups, one has to really stop down to achieve more DOF, but you knew that didnt you.;) I like the eye.

    Like the eye & sharpness. DOF has been dealt with. Many a female will give whatever for those eye lashes.;):)

    Thanks for the constructive feedback.

    I reattach with toned down whites, selectively sharpened eye.

    Yes, same bird. I was checking the whites myself and thought they looked bad, though they are not blown, just too bad it's a B&W species I guess. The eye is the natural color and brightness.

    I think I prefer my ideal HA shot that I posted a few weeks back over this now. :)

    I would tone down the whites more, they are mostly in the 250-255 range.
