I caught this Dowitcher in between his molting stage from breeding to wintering plumage. The background kinda

mimics the colors in the bird.:)

Absolutely beautiful colors and a great BG. Nothing negative from my POV.

Smooth BG, excellent colors and excellent sharpness, very sharp given 1/640sec and 1260mm EFL!!! eye contact is great, only wish for full wing, those feathers are so beautiful.

Gorgeous water Jim. Love the low angle and the nice light. I kind of like the wing position as is. I might remove the specular highlights from the bill. Can you take photos there again?

Sweet Stuff James. Great colors, light, BG, and pose. Where was this taken? Malibu State Beach Lagoon?

Lovely pose, low angle, HA. The water colours make this one for me. I wonder if a little more room on the bottom would make this even better.....

    James,

This is absolutely fantastic. The colors in the water are soooo nice and the bird looks great. I really like the different wing position. Great Capture!!

Dang.....if I don't stop drooling over this one, I'm going to fry my laptop. I'd trade a lot for that sweet light and pose.

Great colors, water is excellent, but the pose makes the image. I like the look of the underwing pattern,
and especially the eye contact. Congratulations!

Beautiful one James, loved the pose and the light, great angle and good colours.. congrats..

Just a small issue: the head looks a bit soft to me.

The light, pose and the reflection of the vegitation in the water are amazing. If you have one with the wings fully stretched, that would be even more amazing.
