Default Looking for a Print workshop

I've been looking for a good workshop that teaches how to process an image for printing. So far, I haven't been very happy with my prints and I'm sure that its related to how I process the images before I send them in to be printed. I found one in Santa Fe, NM. It's put on by Andy Biggs and Michael Clark. Not sure if that means anything or not :D

    Any ideas?

Do you have your monitor calibrated Michael? I find mine are pretty accurate but come out just a little darker. I think my monitor may be too bright. I am taking an Epson Pro Printer workshop in the fall, but it is in Canada. Also have heard that Color Munki is quite good for calibration but it is expensive!

I started thinking about just learning how to make better prints. When I was on the Galapagos boat recently someone recommended Charlie Cramer--I looked very briefly and as I recall he had nothing that would work for me this year...

    Yep. Monitors are all calibrated...

I'm thinking about taking a John Paul Caponigro workshop...
