From the beach this morning. I decided to leave in the out of focus rock, as it doesn't really bug me much.

I love the comp and it is pin sharp mate. :) Did you use flash? If so, then good flash work, just right I say. I only wish that you had a nicer than the white BG, about which I guess there was not a lot that you could have done. Overall a fabulous image. THanks for sharing. :)

Hey Akos, Yes I used flash, I usually do on overcast days. really need to get an actual flash, right now I'm stuck with the popup one.

Yup, not much I could do about the BG. I don't mind it that much though.

That's still good enough (pop up) at times, especially if you are close. Yeah, the BG is really fine as is.

Nice exposure and details. I also like the moss covered rocks.

Aidan very nice image here. I like the little catchlight in the eye and the headturn.

Good pose, HA, detail. I like the OOF rocks in the BG, it adds depth to the image. The color of the bird looks a little washed out wonder about a little boost, but that may be the natural color. Thanks for sharing

That is the natural color. If I boost it more than I already have, it could get too contrasty.

I like both the low angle, and the angle of the turnstone. Excellent exposure, pin sharp, and the yellow moss really adds to the image. Always good to see the different variations of these guys. Well captured Aidan.

Good to see the West Coast variety of this bird. I like the setting, angle and sharpness. I don't mind the OOF rocks, either.
