    Default "Little Randy"

    “Little Randy”

    Note:
The saturation and contrast levels were boosted just a little to make little Randy stand out looking his best on his new leaf.

    Little Randy was painted with a Nikon D300, using a Nikkor 300mm f/2.8G IF-ED VR, with a Nikkor 1.7 T/C and a Nikkor 12mm extension tube

    Image Solution:
    focal length @ 300mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / in camera matrix metering / 1/250sec. - f/22 / exposure comp @ 0EV / ISO @ 800 / white balance @ auto / AF - Mode @ manual / color space @ sRGB / lighting solution - a high intensity micro light panel was set to ¼ lumen output with a diffuser in front. / tone comp @ 0 degree / hue adjustment @ +1 degree / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / support platform - tripod assist, and remote electronic trigger release /

    Comments greatly appreciated...

Really like this image, the curvy leaf, the eyes contact (all four of them), the pano crop. Thank you for showing this.

I really like this. The green leaf contrasts beautifully with the orange spider and the black background.

I might be inclined to crop a very tiny amount to center the spider just a little more. For my eye at least, if something is well off center, that 's great, but this is so close to centered that I want to move him just a tiny bit to the left, or (equivalently) crop a very tiny bit off the left edge.
