I went to Longwood Gardens in PA. with my new partner in OOTB Dave Mills and the infamous Roman Kurywczak. They were both alot of fun to be around and they gave me alot of help using a flash-which for the most part I avoid, well use to avoid. I have opened my eyes to the potential of a flash. I also shot ALL DAY w/ an f/29 or f/32:eek: I caught myself wanting to go for an f/5.6 many times but did resist.
I used Topaz Clean, saturation and hue adjustments and several blending modes along w/ a slight hint of plastic wrap(it adds some nice sheen if used very sparingly)

Another stunning version of that gorgeous image from the macro section. I like it lots. Hey, nothing wrong with f/29. Underwater macro you often float between f/16 and f/22 (well, I could never get more than 22). So welcome to the DOF club. :D

Topaz must give that halo around the edges as I had the same effect with an egret portrait recently. I love the color changes and if one didn't know this plant (like me eg.) they could be fooled that the colors are real (w/o the wrap and topol, errrr topaz effect)

    Very well done. :)

I liked the original but really like it with the effect. The colors are great and adding more canvas to the front helps it a lot.

Nick, Thanks !!The canvas in the front did make a difference. I saw the pods w/ the pinkish backs but they were too far to shoot-so I tried to make my own twisted version!!:)
