Exposure and focus point are spot-on. Nice HA and catch-light in eye. Only wish both antenna were up (thats a joke - ha, ha). Great close-up, well done.

The bee is very sharp with great details. I like the pose of the bee doing its daily routine. Also like the flower in the background, help telling more about the environment.

Agree with the details and exposure. I would be tempted to do something to the flower in the background though (I'm not saying to get rid of it). The bee just looks so good !

Hi Desmond Not sure what else could be done to the flower but basically it is the entire basis for the image. I got lots of bees on flowers and trying incorporating the surroundings.

If you got suggestions let me know but all I was trying for was enough dof for the fly and be able to blur the flower.

Hi Alfred, I love the detail in the bee and the sharp flower stem, and often prefer more complex images with a complementary background subject like your second flower. The smooth background and colors send it over the top for me. I really like your image a lot!! Maybe you and Fabs will have to become Avian/BugScapes or something like that. Your bug images are very special in my opinion. Thanks for sharing them!! I can't wait to see the next one.
