One from tonight. Juvenile gull of some sort - not sure. Seemed to be enjoying bathing in the setting sun. He eventually took off and flew straight at me, missing my head by a couple of feet!

Great angle, eye contact and pose, the splashes add to it. I might crop a bit off the top and bottom and tone down the brightest parts.

Cool shot, love the angle. Looks like a little CCW needed maybe? I'd be inclined to crop a bit off the bottom.

Agree with Connie re CCW. I just wish there was a little more room on the RHS to see more of the water trailing off the wing. Mate, your work is very, very impressive. I love it. LIght is perfect as is the overall tonality of the image and comp. Exposure is fabulous!

Surreal picture. beautiful BG and foreground. Great angle and sharp detail Agree the cut off the drops on the right distacting, draws eye off the screen. But very different type of image that is very pleasing.

Love the lighting and comp. my only nit is the beak touching the wing but then again who really cares it has a great mood.

I really like the light quality in this. The pose with the outspread wings with the sprayed droplets puts this over the top. If anything, I would just take a bit off the bottom.

In my mind, everything works here to yield a spectacular photo. That ray of light is very dramatic, emphasized further by having the bird look directly into it. (Almost like a tractor beam in some sci-fi movie :) The wing position is perfect, as is the soft water and velvety background. Exposure is also spot on. Oh yeah, then there are those water droplets! I usually wouldn't take a second look at an immature gull like this; it's amazing what you done with this otherwise drab bird.
