    Default Lotus Pod

    Canon 5D
    180 mm Macro lens
    ISO 200

    Manual mode w/ flash

    Yes f/29!!! and a Flash!!!!!
I went to Longwood Gardens w/ Roman Kurywczak and Dave Mills. I was given some really great instruction on using a flash and I have to say I was very impressed with the results. I also stepped out of my comfort zone and used an f/29!! Thanks guys!!

I found the back and side views most interesting w/ the soft shades of green and yellow

Very dramatic with wonderful details. A little tight in the frame , but just my taste. Love lotus and like this alot.

Love the detail and the subtle mix of colors, Denise. Very dramatic with the black background. Maybe a bit more room on the left for the pod to "face" into? - a plant we don't have in northern MN.

    Hey Denise,
What is this world coming to??? Welcome to the other end of the f-stops:eek:! I'm glad to see you liked f29....my f4's were deletes:p! Even I may add a bit of canvas left (rare, I know!)...only because it leans in that direction....everything else is right on! Must have been those lovable teachers:D!

Denise, I'm so jealous! You got to hang with some fun people, I'm sure! Love the lotus pod but agree a bit more room on the left would help. When I first opened the image I instantly thought of an alien with a bunch of red eyes. Maybe this will make it to the OOTB forum with a little help??? :D;):D

    Denise,

I guess I need to move to N.J. Can't seem to find a botanical gardens around here. Love the total stop down approach to photography. You're getting way to good at this.

    Thanks for sharing....
