Note: The saturation and contrast levels were boosted just a little to make Mr. Spider pop out from his web. A suspension mixture of glycerin and water was sprayed to highlight and outline the web’s formation and the subject. The fog was added in post processing.

I am borderline on the fog. I initially thought it may be fake and your description confirmed it. Anyway, the web is outstanding, I love the detail and I love the way it pops.
Gus, I like this image very much. What really makes it work for me is how the background is almost black and white, making the spider really stand out. I think it shows very nice conception and execution of the idea. The tech notes show the thought that went into its creation. Very nice!!
