    Nice bull in late afternoon light. One from a few years back captured on K64 rated @80.
    Canon T90 and Tamron300 f2.8. Sorry no other specs. I know I need more room at top and right, but thats all I have in original slide. A case of too much glass and not enough time to move back. I considered a crop in front of hind quarters but wanted to give some room to look back in frame.

    Todd,

    Your correct in your self-critique on the cropping. I do like the left crop and the grasses are a nice BG for the bull. The scan and resulting harsh look do not help the image. Use a reverse s-curve to lower contrast, and Shadow/Highlight on the in shadow head.

    I tried your suggestion, it makes a big difference. Thanks for the advice. This site has been wonderful with all the advice offered.

    You pretty much gave your own crtique and Robet covers the contrast issue. I like the pose of the elk....
