This little guy (relatively speaking) was photographed in Millinocket Me. about a week ago. 40D, 100-400 almost all the way out, AV5.6, 1/1000 ISO 800, I know I could have used a little less shutterspeed but this was HH and I am not good at that so....I can live with some noise, best for me to keep the shutterspeed up.

Carole, Bruce and I have been working up north for the past two weeks hoping for a shot like this and you GOT it!! GREAT! Love this capture, with the little fuzzy junior rack and all, up to his/her neck (ok, I forget!) in bracken fern, the expression is great and the mouthful of food is so typical, this is just a lovely capture of a critter close to my heart. I would not do much to this except perhaps darken the background a bit, but that is just me. Congrats!

Love the moose's expression ! Looks like it enjoyed its meal very much. Exposure looks good here. Noise doesn't seem to be an issue, too. Personally I don't think the shutter speed you used for this one is an issue at all.

Might be just me - but for my tastes looked just a tad soft - added some sharpening and gave the eye a bit extra - tweaked the blacks just a tad - to give it a bit of added ommph.......

Hi Carole, I really like this! Great pose and eye contact. Love how the vegetation frames his face and that you captured him in the middle of eating. Like the added sharpness of the repost, and agree on softening the BG a bit. Very well done!

Carole, really nice capture. I think the repost makes it even better - I think it needed a little more contrast.
    I love his expression:D
