This tigress was stalking the deers in the grasslands when the sandstorm started. The deers ran helter skelter. The tigress turned back and gave vent to a low growl in frustration. The visibility was poor.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII ie. at 800mm, ISO 800, f5.6, 1/200, EV: +2/3, slight crop from right and bottom.

Look forward to your comments and critiques.

    Cheers,

You can see the tail is up and flicking, frustratingly as cats do. The soft effect suits this. TFS

sorry Sabysachi , but this image lacks the visual impact for me since there's no head turn or eye contact.not sure if the image needs a bit of contrast boost.

I would've thought that fog was the cause of the hazy look, so it was interesting to read the background comment. I like the grass and the pose (especially the tail position) but also wish for a bit more visbility on the face. I might also be tempted to go for more of a pano crop to eliminate some (about half) of the top portion. For me, the color and lack of feature up top seem to add too much to the hazy look (which I like).
