I wanted to share this image from earlier this year. One of my very best, I think.
It has done very well on some other photo sites and has won some prizes for me. Hope you like it.

    Canon 5D MKII, 400mm f/5.6,
    1/1600, f/5.6, ISO1000, +1.33EV.

I had photographed this Osprey family for about a month, but on this day just after I arrived I spotted this Osprey coming in and was able to capture a succession of frames with it bringing this fish down. After I looked at the images on the camera back, I just packed up and went home to download and work on them, hoping they came out ok. First time I have seen three babies in a nest. Kept the parents very busy.

    Enjoy

Im sure the kids were glad to see their meal arriving. Great landing posture from the osprey, upturned wings, and his catch clasped in the talons. More eye contact from the three juvies would have been even better. Still, well captured Bill.

Thank you both. These youngsters would always squat down when mom or dad arrived giving the parent room to land Three youngsters in a nest this size was pretty cramped. I also wish they were looking this way. It would have made this image much better. :)

I like the landing pose and the fish adds to it. The image looks a bit flat on my monitor, maybe a slight contrast boost?

Wow. Great capture. Also, the vertical works very well here. Love the head angle of the fish. Too bad about the youngsters showing you their backs. Agree with Axel that image looks flat. Congrats on the prizes. JR

Let me know if this helps. Added some Topaz filters (Detail and Denoise) and cloned out some board on right.
