    Default Juvenile Tricolor

Here's a photo from this spring of a juvenile tricolor. They look so strange like an alien. Just a very fuzzy ball of hair.

Canon EOS- 1D, EF 100 - 400 mm L lens and tripod with my B.B. and Wimberley. Sorry I can not find the exposure at the moment.

    Enjoy...

BG and detail in the eye are great. I might crop a little more off the left to move the eye away from center. Just my taste.

Very dramatic and funny at the same time. I like the spotlight effect on the "hair".

I would take a bit off the left too. I might try shadow/highlights to see if I could bring in detail in the dark area under the eye.
Great portrait, the hairdo adds a lot.

A beautiful close up Charles. I wont go over what has already been noted but I like this image.

Hi Charles, I really like this close up, the hairdo is a riot and I wouldn't change the comp. I wonder if use of fill flash would have helped to make this pop more.

I like the sharpness, hairdo and BG. Adding to the other comments I would lighten the entire image a bit.

Love it as is, especially the spotlight effect on the hairdo! :)

Thanks everyone for your remarks. I enjoy shooting wading bird chicks. They're a definite challenge to me. Could they be so ugly they are cute...
