    Captured at the Salton Sea. Late afternoon winter light (4:45pm Jan 3).

    50D, EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS + 1.4x @ 280mm
    Aperture priority, f/5.6@1/500, evaluative metering EC 0 ISO 400 AWB
    AI Servo autofocus using back button, HH, no flash

    I really like the pose and soft light. The image is very sharp and well exposed. Just a hint of halo around the bill with my monitor on web cal (bright). Probably would not see this in print cal.

    Good exposure on the whites and nice head turn, Kerry. A subtle corner burn often looks nice on these type of images to focus attention in on the subject in the centre.

    hI Kerry - exposure looks good - nice detail there as well. Tony's idea of a little vignetting would draw the ye into the centre a little.

    Hey Kerry! You're shooting White Pelicans and I'm shooting Brown Pelicans!:D. Lovely light, I really like the HA and the eye contact! Good and sharp also. The whites on the back are a little hot but overall, very nice!

    Kerry, Nice details and exposure looks good. HA is very nice and agree a slight vignette would look nice. Well done!!
