    Hi Mr. Peters,
I like the fine sharp details and the close up pose...the color rendition is superb...might consider opening up the shadows around the eye...aside from that, well done...

Hey AL - You will have to come over and get yourself one of these guys - Common in someplaces especially around picknick grounds were they will come right up to you after food, allowing extreme close ups.

Not common anymore around my area - unfortunately :(

What's the name of that bird? Looks like it has an interesting beak. Good exposure and details ! I might work on the eye a bit though.

Hi Lance, I never saw a close up of a kookaburra. Very cool and great job capturing such a close up.

awesome as usual, lance. agree with gus about opening up the shadows in the inside corner of the eye. just a tad. i'm glad you said it was a kookaburra. i thought it was one of the kingfishers.

Great advise already given to a near perfect picture. As always Lance, you are the king of texture in white feathers.

Hi lance.....Nice capture especially the feather detail. I would lighten the eye and clean up the bg dust bunnies
