Perch, sharpness and eye contact look very good. I wish the BG at the top were like the rest and I would desaturate the yellow and/or orange channel a few points. Maybe also some NR on the BG.

I love this image, only thing I would do is a tighter crop which would fix the top Background in the process.

Hi Trey, I love the orange against the bg, and the detail is quite beautiful. Very nicely done.

Hi Trey. Like as is. Pin sharp and good head angle. Top for me is very fine as the change in colors and darkness act as a holder and add interest. My 2 cents.

Nice one Trey, agree about a tighter crop would help out with the top of the BG, well done other wise, now go back and find the male!

Thanks for the input-this guy is the only one that will come out of the tree and perch and only did it once at least when I have been there. Have been out several times since and just got sweaty in the blind.

Love the image as it is, Trey! Beautiful bird on a lovely perch and a complementing background as well - what more could one ask for? :)

Beautiful shot, nice and sharp and great color. I like the way the branch in the TR curves back in bring your eye back into the photo.
    Excellent work.

Tighter crop from top and right for me to eliminate the background on top and the turn upwards of the branch. Wish the thorn next to the beak was pointing towards the right. Great detail, light and exposure. Congrats. JR
