    Default Loonie Loon

Of course I have story first :D...

It was Friday evening and it was me, Rusty, Artie and an IPT
participant (from an IPT just completed) all on Shadle's boat. The
    target were the Spoonbills.

While cruising around, this Loon was found. Since it was still
early, James went on the attack to get close to this Loon. Of
course, he did a great job.

Everyone was shooting. Well, almost everyone. Dumbo here,
only brought his 600. To make a long story short, Artie was kind
enough to let me borrow his 1-4. Thankfully, I didn't drop it in the
bay  I also didn't wash my hands for a week after handling a
true Arthur Morris owned lens :p

The reason why I'm posting this image here is, I'm not sure of the
crop to use. This is my first bird where its going diagonal. If I
go too vertical, then I have too much top empty space. If I go too horizontal,
then lots of empty space on the sides. Right now, this is more square
    than anything.

    So I'm open to ideas...

    Doug,

Love the story and I wouldn't wash may hands either! Love the loons expression, water drops and pose.

The crop, do take this with pinch of salt... I think I would like just a bit more on the bottom, I sorta feel the the 'feet' got chopped off, a bit more on the left and a bit off the top (sounds like a hair cut).

I agree that I would have wanted a little more at the bottom to include more of the reflection. Nice job on the exposure and focus. The water droplets are a nice touch.

Very fine image Doug Fully agree on the room at the bottom Wouldn't hurt a bit more at the front either Gives the bird more room A fully open wing could only made it better !!!! I like it a lot !!!!
