Here is another from last months Farnes trip.

Last year I concentrated on wide angle images so this year I stepped back a little and used a 300mm lens.

Pose, BG and eye contact look good. I might lighten the chest a bit.

I like the backlighting through the edges of the wings and tail, and good flight posture captured too. Sharp where it counts, and the clouds add to the image. Well done Austin.

Looking good and the bit of cloud enhances the blue background. Pose, exposure and sharpness all add up to produce a fine image. Did you try that sharpening technique on this one? I always find the chest area difficult on these as they are grey anyway but the tone looks about right to me.

Hi Rich,

Yes, I basically selected the background, inverted for the bird, reduced by a couple of pixels and sharpened to taste. Inverted again then reduced the noise a little in the BKGR.
