    Nice pose but I'd crop more from the left and leave a bit more to the right making it a vertical. Did you apply a lot of shadow recovery? The tail as well as other parts of the body look a bit muddy to me. JR

    The open beak and eye contact look very good. I agree with John regarding lack of contrast and wish for a lower angle. I could also see this as a vertical crop.

    Another vote for vertical. Lovely calling pose. Looks muddy under the tail especially. thanks for sharing. :)

    And yet another vertical vote. Does seem to lack detail as well. Perhaps from a large crop???

    Good comments form above. I'll add that the sky is way over-saturated. I would go into the blue and cyan channels in PS, and take away 10-20 points.
