Now and again, I drive 180kms and visit my good mate Gerrie who lives close to the Pilanesberg nature reserve. We have fun with the kingfishers that visit around the hide. Normally we see action, and enjoy our take off images, and its all about the timing. In this, its the split second before take off.

Perfect timing Stuart! Love that take-off pose. I might have gone about +1/3 over this exposure to get a little more detail around the eye,

Real quick on the shutter here Mr B. I'll have to watch out for my reputation. Well exposed image with a great posture & BG. WD!

Fantastic pose and sharpness. And background. And composition. Just wish a slight more head turn towards you to see more of the eye. JR

Timing doesn't get much better than this. Really nice. I like the perch coming from the corner. Nice look at the eye. Big congrats on this one.

    Hey bro,
Wicked image man! Your timing is as good as your rugby side's (this time). I do wish to see the eye a bit clearer, otherwise this is as good as I have seen mate. Thanks for sharing!
