    Default Sandhill Crane

    Calling pose.
I removed some manuer from the beak to make it more presentable.
Also brightened up the very top portion of the bg. which had a dark streak.
    Thanks for the critique.
Sorry, I don't do critique on other people's picture since I'm not very good at it.

Nice vertical comp here, and the calling pose is nice. I would have preferred a better head angle as it is currently looking away. I would also get rid of the OOF flower in the FG ( I do love the smaller one in front of the legs!). Here we can't approach cranes within 200 yards it seems...so I can appreciate this one - especially coming from Ontario!

Great alert Sandhill Karl. Background is superb, great detail and clarity in the bird. This site likes to have the bird looking at you slightly as per AM. I agree the oof flower removal would benefit this image. I really like it though and this is a favorite bird of mine. Nicely done. I would take this image anytime.

The surroundings make for a beautiful image. Only a head turn would take it over the top for me.

Lovely colors. Great sharpness. Wish you would have gone a bit higher to eliminate the distracting OOF foreground and to see the feet. The head directed towards you would take this over the top. JR
