    Default Stone Curlew

From early April till early September the erea where I took the Little Owls images becomes a mini bird heaven, with Rolles, Bee Eaters, Stone curlews (all of which nest there) and many more song birds.

Stone Curlews are very shy, so I was very happy to have gotten a few good images of them.

Excellent capture, and you have captured the eye beautifully. I also vote for a bit more space too.

Super pose Danny, with the turned back head. I like the light, detail and colours, and adding space to the right will work.

Very nice shot of a great looking bird Danny! Love the BG, eye contact and the head turn! I agree with more room on the right also.

Great light, sharpness, background and pose. Could use some more room everywhere but on the top IMO. Congrats. JR

    Hi Danny

These are now a very rare bird in the UK and highly protect so you need a licence to photograph them. In fact they now set up camera on the nest and one recently filmed a hand appearing to remove the eggs. You did well to get the photo as I know they are very shy and colour exposure and detail are all looking very good. I think the photo, as previously mentioned would be improved by a little more space around the bird.

    Cheers

    Rich
