    Default Osprey with Stick for Nest

    From earlier this year. This osprey was still bring sticks to the nest even though the youngsters were almost ready to leave. Lovely to watch and photograph.
    Canon 40D, Canon 400 f/5.6L (Non IS)
    1/2000, f/5.6, ISO 400,
    The viewfinder is my guidance.

    Brilliant wingspread Bill. I love it. They look razor sharp. I would try to see if a little more sharpening would enhance the head area. Wonderful light too! Thanks for sharing. :)

    Thanks Akos, I have great luck with Ospreys. I agree that the head needs improvement, probably because it is lost in the body.
    The viewfinder is my guidance.

    You may well be right about the head comment Sir. Just know, I very much like the image. Look forward to more. :)

    Very nice shot. Good focus.
    I guess you are level with the earth as the eyes look level, but the tilt of the wing pattern throws me off. Very monotone. Lovely Osprey shot overall.

    Great light, just amzing wing spread, I really like the eye contact in this one, he/she looking straight at you.

    I think it is a great picture! Since there is strong symmetry, I went ahead and straightened the bird out and used compositional symmetry which suggests the subject be centered. I'm not saying change it, but here is what it would look like. regards~Bill
