Very cute subject Mark. Noise mentioned by Rob, that's an easy fix.
If this is FF, then I guess you were using the center AF point as the wings appear sharp and the head is sadly not. With a tripod or some other support you could have stopped the aperture down or carefully select a different AF point, or use one-shot AF mode to obtain focus on the head and recompose. It's tough and I am not trying to just find faults. You could probably improve to a point with more head sharpening. I'd tone down the bright areas on the top and left upper sides of the perch and the leaf reflection near the URC. All in all a great effort mate. :)
Seems that the DOF is very shallow here. Perhaps locking focus on a plane a little farther back (like that back leg) would've gotten the whole bird in focus. You could also try moving back from the subject a little to increase DOF, or maybe going to f/7 as you probably didn't need the faster shutter speed. Still, a nice view of this bird. I especially like the lichen covered perch.
Like the perch. Pose and HA good. Little soft in the face as outlined above. the vegetation in upper rt corner little distracting, might look better if cloned out. Like the color of the bird. Overall very good, relaxed mood if a bird picture can be such.
