The low light was working against me this morning. I don't like using ISO this high, but didn't know any other way around it. any suggestions? I like the habitat in this image, and didn't want to crop it in any farther. Other than rotating slightly, this is full frame.

topaz denoise is fantastic! download the free trial and give it a try. i think you will like it. other than that, the catchlights in the eyes look very large and unnatural? and i might have panned down a little to make sure i had a little room under it's virtual feet.

you got some really nice deer pics this year! i love this fawn!

    Hi Cheryl,
I like this capture showing the fawn in it's natural habitat, agree with the Doctor on a little more room at the bottom, the color rendition is good, would selective sharpen the eyes just a tad...

Thank you Harold and Gus! I too would like more room under the feet, but that is all I got in the frame.
    I appreciate your comments. thanks.

Great suggestions by Harold !!! Agree fully !!

... noise wise remember to get a sharp image first .. then worry about the noise. If is really getting dark and you have little chance at sharp image then go soft... wait for the animal to move and try a blur !!!

Nice image Cheryl, I like your framing with the milkweeds around the deer. I have enjoyed your series. Agree with more room for the virtual feet, and yes, that is all you got. But maybe something to think about in the field next time. If it was overcast would you bump up the saturation just a bit??

Very nice, Cheryl. Like the included habitat. I can see some blue spots at the top of the frame that I would remove. I know you said you don't want to crop it in any further, but if this were mine I might crop a bit from the left so that the deer is more off center. Just a thought!
