    Camera: Canon 1 Ds Mk II.
    Lens: Canon EF 400 mm F5.6 L with 1.4 converter.
    1/125 sec, F11, ISO 200.
    Available light - no flash.

    Pretty interesting perch and the pose looks like she's about to take off like a rocket. A little Shadow / Highlight might tone done the bright back of the bird.

    The out of focus highlights in the BG are somewhat distracting and should be pretty easy to remove.

    I really like the perch and pose. The light is REALLY harsh though. Try to get out there and get this guy in some lower angle direct frontal lighting :)

    Thanks Glen but this was intentionally an exercise in backlighting and the whole point of the exercise.
