    Shot this yesterday at Buck Gardens in NJ. For some not familiar with mallows the flowers can be enormous. The lighting created a mild backlit effect.
    Nikon D300,F22 1/200,-1/3 comp,iso 400,tripod mtd, Topaz Adj using color boost and mild details filters.

    Dave, I love backlit images especially when you get great detail!! Well done. Lovely soft colors in your Hibiscus

    Colors and sharpness, is what makes this for me..lovely..What lens were you using?

    Hi Paul, A 200mm Macro. This is a very large flower and it was shot at a distance...

    delicate and beautifully hued, but do have a bit of trouble with that bit of bg.
    For some reason it just seems too detached....but that's only IMHO
