That's a first for me, cubs suckling, wish you had an angle further from the right side...

Having chased the leopard for years(for acceptable photographs)....I admit, this is a very unique shot, great clarity.

    Marc,
A nice moment captured. I agree, moving to the right, without disturbing would have been great. Ofcourse, you would then have got a side on image of the mother looking out of the frame. We don't see it often. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

Marc, this is a wonderful moment you captured here. Only wish one could get a better view of the cubs.
Still a very nice moment you got here, congrats.

super moment and well out in the clear! the leopard's face looks slightly different from our leopards here in South Africa? maybe just this one or is there a bit of a difference?

great moment! difficult comp to choose but I think you made the right choice since the cubs' faces will be buried in mummy's fur anyway.

Well that's something you do not see everyday, and for me never.

Nice moment well captured, positioning is always difficult in these circumstances was this in an area that allowed off-roading?

    Hey Morkel

I thought the same too, she had quite a blondish head & chest, even different to most in Zambia as well.

Not really Ken, we came upon her after my wife heard a feint Puku alarm call, but (as you'd know as well) with a slight detour, we followed this female up a steep incline where she led us to her cubs.
We spent over an hour and a half with these 3, making for an unforgettable experience.

Excellent shot Marc. Wonderful experience and pretty too. be nice to see other variations if having them, as direct eye contact and more of the cubs would take this up another level. VWD!
