    From the San Diego trip, one free day from the IPT, at the La Jolla beach taken over by the Seals. Never seen one before either. Cool looking bird.

    I've never seen one either. Glad you posted it. Perfect head angle and lovely BG. Sharpness is great and I love the "flow" of the wing feathers. Foreground is a little distracting but shows of environment well. Congrats

    I've never seen these even in an image. Thanks for sharing. :) Agreed on FG, but I would be still chuffed to have one this good in my set of images. I like the eye contact and the BG is gorgeous.

    Lovely bird and a lovely image. The color is like rich chocolate.
    really enjoy the detail in the feathers.

    What a great looking subject. This could have been an exposure nightmare , but you made it look easy.

    Very nice exposure/processing. The low level and eye contact is nice. I might consider cloning out the two bubbly looking things right above the tail.

    Another new species for me too Fabs. Excellent exposure on the dark plumage, sharp, and you captured a great HA. Well done.
