Another view of the one I posted the portrait of yesterday. Again, lack of tripod meant trying to keep SS as high as possible, hence big aperture and shallow DOF. I'd definitely stop down and use a tripod today. Not sure if the yellow on the throat needs the 25% blue treatment Tony mentioned yesterday. 30D, 300mm f/4L IS, 1.4x, ISO500, f/5.6, 1/200th, HH, flash, almost FF. 0 EC.

Cloned out a leaf in the ULC. Hope it's not sloppy. :)

    Thanks for looking.

    Szia Akos,

Beautiful little bird. Again, I wish for more DOF, but it is sharp where it counts. I like the way the bird is framed with the leaves. Keep them coming.

    Hi Akos,
Lovely color and amazing markings on this bird. DOF could have been better but still good focus on the face. Where is this bird indiginous to?

Despite the OOF tail, a very pretty bird with great detail in the head and eye.

Very nice bird, wow, what a treat! Sharp where it counts, I'm sure you could tone down the yellows for more detail.

Thank you for the comments folks. I appreciate you taking your time.

Steve, this species I believe, is an Australian endemic. See here. To give indication of size, see this picture.

Nice image. Agree with comments above. The leaf slight above and to the right of the head drags my eye up there. It seems very angular. I'd look at cloning it out.

Great detail and eye contact Akos- now to get the same opportunity again and increase the DOF.

    cheers

Totally loved this image, such a beautiful bird. I like the OP, with the leaf included. DOF has been mentioned, so won't repeat.

    Hola Akos.
Great looking species! It would have been great if you could have had a little more DOF. The patterns here are terrific. Thanks for sharing. jc
