Havn't been out shooting in a few days but came across this one from last year that was never processed or posted. From about the same time 1 year ago so I guess this years brood will be taking to the air soon.

I like the near wing and the fanned tail feathers. Eye contact is good. I just wish the bill didn't merge with the far wing. Also I might back off a little on the sharpening. Thanks for sharing!

Nice detail in the wing. The position in the frame gives me a sense of speed.
Great background and nice nod from the bird.

This is great Joe. Love the sense of movement too and the framing is perfect. I am not that bothered with the bill merge, but a clearer view would indeed be a little better. Did you desaturate the BG a little? Just looks a little flat, that's all. Overall a great image mate. :)

    Nothing done to the BG.

The first thing that impressed me as the beautiful BG, a great backdrop for the precious juvenile, which is well exposed and very sharp. Love the fanned tail, and wing position, except for the merging of the bill with the left wing.

Nice Joe I agree with the bill and the wing I've seen one young skimmer flying this year already.
