    Adult male on the field - breeding places.

    Canon 40D, Canon 500mm + 1.4. TC, ISO 200, 1/800, f 6,3
    PP: slight crop due composition, colours, contrasts, sharpness

    You captured the iridescence nicely, and I like the raised crest feathers. I'd go with a tighter crop, and I'd remove the bright spots in the dirt.

    Good looking bird. It looks some what similar to the southern lapwing we have here in Brasil. I agree with Doug about a tighter crop, and if you have another chance with them try to go for a lower angle.

    I like it Milan, but also agree with a tighter crop and doing something about those two really bright stones. They just suck my vision away from that gorgeous lapwing. The grass clumps balance the desolate landscape nicely. Thanks for sharing mate. :)
