I can understand why it's one of your favorite birds Manos! Nice sharpness and eye contact. The BG looks a little blotchy at the bottom, possibly from JPG compression; I have the same issue with some of my hummingbird photos. The perch looks a little funky, kind of like I'm seeing double. Other than that, very nice.

I do wonder why not stop down the aperture to get a little more DOF? Perhaps they move off quickly? I never photographed these guys from a hide, so don't know the reason. But I thought a stationary bird would be OK at a slower SS and you'd probably get more of the perch sharp too to make a crisper image. Love the colors and framing. The graduation in the BG is perfect. Thanks for sharing Manos.

Absolutly gorgeous. Good exposure, sharp, beautiful background and I like the way the tail points to the corner. I also like the tight framing for web. For prints I would include a bit more background.

Like the pose, BG & composition. Bird is well exposed with great detail, natural colours & eye contact. Great image Manos! Can't wait for them to return to this part of the world for summer.

Love the IQ on the bird. Super feather detail and colour. Ditto more DOF would be good.

Nice to be able to just get a shot like that. Well done Manos. Maybe a touch more room on the right would have been nice and as Doug says, a little blotchy near the bottom.
