    Wow!!!

I can only say this is one of the most magnificent eagles I have never seen before. Are they abundant at this location?

Beautiful exposure! Hand-held from a boat, no less. I think it might help the image if the subject was placed further to the left and perhaps a CCW rotation?

Amazing looking bird, perfect exposure and very nice BG. I agree with Andy about the rotation.

Beautiful bird and exposure and great to get the wings in a fine position. Background definitely seems tilted but may be natural though.

Perfect exposure Dave and the wingspread is fantastic. Just a little more head turn, but it is really good as is to be honest. What a raptor! There is a small water droplet (I think) on the brown patch of the near wing, not sure if you'd want to make it disappear, up to you mate. :)
    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks to all for looking and for comments.
Paul they are not generally abundant but they are found at permanent waterways and dams.
Ken land based at Drotskys cabins.

Dave I can find nothing but pleasure looking at this. The wingspread, exposure, details, all are perfect for me and I would love to be able to take a shot like this one day of my favourite bird.

    Superb.

Aww---That's like the bald eagles here that hang around the dams because the fish get stunned going through the and are easy pickings. I think thats what happens anyways. It would be awesome to shoot these all day long at such a setting! Do you frequent such places Dave?

You certainly nailed this FE well enough Dave. Great flight posture, and very well exposed. I feel the rotation is fine, and he pops from the BG nicely. Well captured.
