Apologies! The picture did not upload and try as I may, I seem unable to get it uploaded. Please come to my assistance on how to get the pic uploaded or alternatively how to delete this thread so that I can start from scratch.

Figured it out & got it uploaded.;):)

You managed, good show, and a good photo too boot. Some may feel that one should get rid of the white wash it doesn't bother me, nice one Gerrie

    Gerrie,

I see your image and love it. Light is sweet as you say, good sharpness, meal a big big plus. The, um, soil on the branch is a bit distracting but what can you do? Wouldn't be easy to get rid of it in Ps either. Top marks nonetheless! I sure hope I'll get to see the belted variety of this species in my part of the world this winter.

I like the image overall. Nice look at the fish, and the image appears sharp. Feels a bit tight in the frame to me. I'd remove the whitewash on the log if it were mine.

Hi Gerrie, its about time I came to visit you again. Pin sharp detail, and love the show of the fish. A little tight at the bottom, and I would maybe lighten the eye a tad. Great capture.

Great job, Gerrie. Lovely pose and light. Fish really puts it over the top. We just need one of a female now so we can see the difference in plumage:D

Cracking shot Gerrie. Bit tight as Stuart said, but doesn't detract much as is strong in sweet light. Fish puts it over the top. Nice one!

Great work Gerrie. I love the fact the eye contact is perfect with both bird and fish. I don't mind the whitewash on perch. WEll done mate, a cracker indeed! :)

Great shot Gerrie - fish is a real bonus. Agree that possibly a little more room would set it off better

    cheers
