    Default Peregrine Falcon

Peregrine Falcon, note the injured beak and belly, looks like she had a major fight.

    40D + 400 f/5.6 f/9 1/1600sec ISO 400 sw: DPP 3.6.1. Hope you like it It's a very heavy crop so it's a bit soft, sorry!

    Hi Arash,

Love the eye contact and position of the wings. You were definitely in the right spot. The focus is soft however. Hopefully she was up to her eyeballs in a nice bloody meal and not injured.

Arash, I like the composition with the wing position. I agree it looks a bit soft. I might tone down the BG color just a bit if it were mine and clean up the top edge of the frame. I too hope it was a bloody meal and not injured. TFS

A beautiful specimen. You have got it with nice eye contact. You sure it's an injury?

Thanks , I am not 100% sure, looking at other shots in the sequence it looks like an injury from a fight but it might (hope) as well be blood from her hunt.
