I was just playing around with Photoshop...it looks like an oil painting. Hope you like it!!!

I like this very much Lady Mirenchu,
The flower has a soft glow to it, it looks like a painting, love the color rendition and the introduction as a diagonal in frame...my only suggestion would be to give it a little more space on top, it's a little tight...aside from this, well done...

P.S. :D Tell us what filters or applications used in Photoshop...

Mirenchu, I agree w/ Gus a bit more on top would be nice. I love the black BG and I'm curious to know what you did also!! Beautiful gladiolus stem-TFS!!

Hi Mirenchu, Agree with previous posts. I like the diagonal placement and the lighting. Not easy to capture a good composition of this type of flower but you succeeded. I also like the subtle effect you applied. Nice job!

Wow, lovely image. But tight. I agree with the previous respected folks. Would be a piece of cake to add some canvas. :) Thanks for sharing.

I increased canvas at the top...do you thinks that this is OK or needs more?
Also I want to thank you for all your comments, suggestions and help!!! I'm learning a lot :)
What I did for this image is the following: after cropping, I did a vignette; then an "overlay" layer; "painted" a little more yellow at the base of the flowers; then applied "dry brush" filter in one layer and a "paint daubs" in another layer...I guess that's all...
The original image: Nikon D90; 1/5 sec; f/25; ISO 400.
