    Default Feeding Sanderling

Got called back to start working tomorrow, I can finally start putting away for that 500 F/4 I've been dreaming of.;) Of course it also means a lot less time here and in the field as I work 65 miles from home and we also work overtime (concrete laborer). This one is from the other day when I went looking for Semipalmated Plovers but didn't find any. They were all slurping up what looked like transparent worms. Hope you like it. All C/C appreciated.

It is nice and sharp. Exposure is very good and framing excellent. I may crop a little from below as the reflection is not strong enough to keep. What do you think mate? Go get that 500 btw, you'll love it!

I think this is the nicest one yet in your recent shorebird series!

The cleaner setting and background here still give you a sense of habitat but with fewer distractions.
I could see cropping a bit from the bottom and looks like it needs a degree or so of CW rotation.

Oh man, oh man. Congratulations, excellent photo, looking at this, I think with your skills you really don't need that 500mm.;) Just kidding.

Great bird, don't worry about the semipalms, the season has just started. In many ways:)

    Cheers,

Nice image Brain, I like the pose and comp. The 500 a nice target to work for and good luck with the casting of the concrete. (hard on the back)

Great feeding pose, well exposed, and overall nice and sharp. The low angle works well Brian. Hope you get your 500 soon. Im jealous.

I'm very humbled by all the positive comments thanks. Sorry for the late response out of the house from 4:30AM till 7:15PM.

llija, yes your right. Our beaches will hopefully be flooded with all sorts of shore birds.;)

Dave, Hard on the back is an understatement, I hate my job.:D
