    Crested Caracara, Viera Wetlands, Florida
    D2X, 200-400mm w/1.7TC @ 650mm, f/6.7 @ 1/1250 sec, iso 400

    Haven't posted anything in the Avian forum for awhile, so I'll try to ease back in with this one. Taken earlier this year down at the Viera Wetlands where the juvenile caracara's were almost tame at times.

    THe flower above the head is a little distracting, though BG is fine otherwise. I'd sharpen the head more, but as I see the critical focus appears to be more towards the front of the bill. :)

    Eye contact and head angle look good. I agree regarding the flowers above the bird and might sharpen the bird a bit more.
