Back to basics, I hope this is sharp and that the head infront of the wing is OK.

The BG works very well with the heron's plumage. The head and wing positions are just fine to me and the sharpness is good. Great light too, well caught!

Love this one Dave, Head angle is great and sharp and certainly pops enough from the darker wing. Nice wing position and I love the way the head and neck feathers are swept back. Congrats

Dave: Excellent. Exposure, detail, composition, color, subject, BG... IMO it just doesn't get any better than this!

Sharp, sweet light quality and direction and well exposed Dave, works well for me. Was this at UP Sport grounds?

Back to basics has turned this out pin sharp, and well exposed Dave. I like the detail from the underwings, and I like the light quality in this. Well captured.
