Canon 1D Mark III with Canon 500 f/4

Exif: 1/3200, f/4, Evaluative Metering, Aperture Priority, ISO 400, EC 0

Vertical crop from a FF horizontal. No NR applied, selectively sharpened the bird and gave some saturation boost. USM at 100/0.4/0.

The sun was a bit high on the horizon, but the bird posed nicely and the BG was good. Just wished the feet were visible, but wasn't possible in the grass.

Beautifully Done .. The tight crop is alright with me and the BG is like butter

Sweet BG, very nice subject, well exposed, well placed in the frame, just a bitmore head turn for me. TFS :)

Really like this Pranay! The background, lighting and sharpness are all top notch. The "missing" feet do not detract from the image at all.

This is great and a beautiful species I've never seen before. I don't mind the missing feet as I too prefer a lower angle when at all possible. Colors look great and wonderful BG. I'm with Fabs on the head angle. Congrats

I would hope for just a fraction more head turn in your direction too. Otherwise a fine image, nice crop and excellent BG. Thanks for sharing. :)

    Hi Doc.
Superb detail captured in good light. Bg works well and I like the colours. The bird feels just a bit central in the frame to me.
