I went to my favorite spot for birds today and nothing. Was hoping to get some in flight images. Soptted this Snowy Egret and couldn't resist. 7:33 am

Sweet light Bill on a very famous subject here in Florida. Shame he wasn't perched on something a bit more photogenic though.

    HI Bill
Lovely light. I am sure the feather on the breast area is natural, but it really draws the eye in as it creates a very dominant point in the plumage. Not sure how you feel about digital surgery there. Otherwise, I would crop as presented in my repost. I like the sharpness and BG. OK with rock perch. Well done mate.

Thanks Rich and Akos very much. I should have mentioned that I cleaned up the concrete footing of some droppings but tend to leave the birds as I captured them . i realize now that the feather is quite distracting and maybe should have removed it. I like your crop Akos.

    Bill,

I really don't mind the perch as the bird and beautiful lighting more than compensates for it. I really like the look of the repost with the tighter crop. I also dig how the black on the legs on these guys looks against the yellow feet which you captured perfectly.

Thanks, I guess these are sometimes called Yellow Slippers. I forget where I heard that. May be a Florida term.
