    This guy came from no were swooping down. I leaned out of the car and manage a couple of shots. The light were not the best as this were at noon.

    Love the angle and the splayed primaries. Also like the blue sky with clouds.

    loved this the first time I saw it. great handling of already harshish light, and the pose, eye contact and sky are gorgeous Chris...

    Exposure is good given the light, so is detail and composition. Like the bright yellow eye. HA is good but not perfect since the other eye is only partially visible (would like full eye or clear beak view + one eye), bird profile is slightly slim due to shooting angle.

    I agree with whats been said. Love those eyes and wing position works really well here. I might sharpen a little more around the head. Congrats

    Great sighting and you did well with this grab shot. Is this a large crop Chris?
    Like the detail under the wings. what metering mode did you use and what was your exp comp?

    Looks very simalar to our short toed snake eagle. loved the head on pose and details. congrats...

    do you know whats its main diet.

    @ Dave we were travelling to wards Satara and at that time of the day not really any photo opportunities unless one spots something special. My cam setting was on a previous shot set at Pattern metering, 0 exposures, ISO 400 and f9.0. I reacted quickly when I saw this guy that I just point and shoot to my advantage I suppose :) PS it about a 50% crop.

    Great sighting Chris, and I like the curled primaries. Great eye contact, and the clouds adds to the image nicely.
