    Soft indirect light

    I was pleased with this butterfly shot, But I was wondering if the oranges in the flowers were handled properly and if the wing needs to be more saturated. All comments and suggestions would be most welcome!

    I like the composition, image and capture Bob. the butterfly is sharp with good color rendition...would give it more room on top...the background compliments your subject quite well...:cool:

    Hi Bob. You should be pleased with this shot, it is quite nice. There are some hot areas in the red channel on the flower but they don't make the petals look bad at all. As for the wing, I kind of like the de-saturated look and don't see it as a problem, especially if that's the way it actually looked! Do like the background colors as well. Very nice.

    Fine Bfly Bob

    Would just give more room all around and desaturate the yellow a bit Got the perfect angle for maximizing dof and all so sharp !!! Excellent !! ... btw beautiful bg !!!

    cool bg! i agree it is a little tight for my tastes. nice detail and sharpness. nice job!

    Thanks to all ! I plan to try to desaturate the yellows a bit more!
