Gary, The BG is a little busy but otherwise you did very well. Lots of great feather details and I enjoy the over the shoulder view. The whole image might be able to go brighter.

    Good Shooting!

You owe this flycatcher big time :-), it sat still for you. These tiny fellas are so difficult to photograph.
I agree with Brian on brightness. You can't have done anything about the background and it does not bother me.

Fine capture Gary Sharp and well expose along with a great pose !!!

Not sure what you did to the bg? Would smooth out some transitions like the green to the left !!! Excellent !!!!

Thanks guys. What I did to the bg was some noise reduction and contrast. I agree a little more work is needed.

Lovely looking bird - quite an impressive bill for a little bird and great details. Have tried a quick version setting white and black points on a curve and then nudging the colour balance a little away from green to magenta and darkening the surrounds to focus more on the bird. Never seen one of these so not sure on what is natural colour-wise in the yellow but the OP seems to have a greenish cast.

Great composition and sharpness in my book Agree on brightening it and the distracting background. JR
